Where The Road Goes
Apr. 22nd, 2004 11:36 pmSo, it has been quite an eventful month - Paris, Portsmouth, Falmouth (with sailing), applications, approvals, and more applications. I'll do my best to give some of these a bit of retroactive detail in future, but for now:
Paris, March 23-24 - Catacombs, Notre Dame, and the Quai de la Tournelle
Portsmoth, March 29-31 - HMS Victory, and lots of Admiral Lord Nelson memorabilia
Falmouth and St. Mawes, April 6-10 - Sailing, not getting sick(!), more information about RYA Courses, tall ships, and such opportunities.
Other highlights of this month included a lovely Easter meal at Templars Court, for which much thanks to its denizens, and a grand time in London, meeting with zen friends and going to the Cutty Sark and the museum at Greenwich. (No, I can't stop with the maritime museums, it is well and truly an obsession now. ;) Plus, lots of extracurricular reading, and viewing - props especially to W for lending me The Dream of Scipio, by Iain Pears, and to R for giving me two tapes of fanvids!
In closing, I must confess that having just seen Kill Bill: Volume 2, which is a fine film overall, I have something of a crush on (you guessed it!) Bill.
