Magic, Chaos, Fire and Death
Nov. 9th, 2006 03:50 pmOkay, Oxford area folks, The Prestige is out this week, and I'm planning to go and see it. It features a feud between Edwardian era stage magicians (which would be enough for me, of course) with a leavening of suspense, tricks, and twists in a non-linear narrative directed by Christopher Nolan.
And if that's not enough for you, it's got the usual rota of Hollywood favourites - one clever soul described it thusly - Wolverine, on the advice of his trustybutler stage engeineer Alfred seeks out the Goblin King and his assistant Gollum in order to find a means to defeat Batman. Guys, Scarlett Johanssen and Piper Perabo also star.
Vue has an 8:15pm showing tomorrow night, and I think there are at least a couple of us going. Drop me a comment if you want to come along and share rides/popcorn - we might also pre-order tickets, 'cause it's the start of the weekend.
