Rock'n'Roll for the Fangirl Soul

So, um, I'm going to Japan in April to gorge on disposable pop culture and soak in hot springs. Then on to Hawaii to visit parents and relatives in Honolulu, and detoxify my body and spirit by spending a week at San Francisco Zen Center. Yes, this was kind of impulsive trip planning, especially for me, but the usual summer Trip'O'Doom was beginning to look a little problematic from a holiday rota and visa standpoint and Burma was off the table due to recent events, so I thought what the hell.

Any recommendations for things to do/see/buy/eat? My schedule is already looking pretty full (surprise, surprise), but it's always good to have more information, and I wouldn't want to miss anything truly fantastic. And, also, yay. \o/
