So, here is my impression of

SAINT-GERMAIN
"A man who knows everything and who never dies." Said to have lived for centuries, the Comte de Saint-Germain is truly a man of legend and mystery. He was an aristocrat, master alchemist, adventurer, magician, artist, and seer with a lust for exquisite jewels, and was reputed to have attained knowledge of the Elixer of Life. His knowledge was so vast and all-encompassing that his claim to have lived hundreds of years - he allegedly knew Jesus and was present at the Council of Nicea - was widely accepted as true. He is a Hermetic Magician's hero for the ages, and his scent is an elegant, timeless, truly refined cologne, bold yet classic: gilded amber, hypnotic lavender, brash carnation and deep mosses.

In the bottle: Another masculine scent - green (which is, I assume the mosses and lavender), with some astringent citrus (where does that come from?) and something sweet - the carnation, I suppose.

Wet on the wrist: The green mosses and lavender come through strongly on the left wrist, with the sweeter and dustier elements on the right.

Dry on the wrist: The green scents fade quickly, which is a shame, leaving the carnation and amber to come to the fore, with a hint of astringency. But, it's not as powdery, and I like that.

Overall: If I recall it correctly, this reminds me of Parfum d'Hermes (Original Green Bottle), a classic scent created for the company, and wearable by men or women. I like it better than Casanova, and it's probably a keeper. 8/10
