Oh, and also - for my physicist friends, [livejournal.com profile] queennell has been creating a serialized "A Brief Brief History of Time," a summary of the Stephen Hawking book in the style of m15m or The Reduced Shakespeare Company. It's screamingly funny, and surprisingly, I actually understand a bit of it...

In point of fact, however, what I love most about it is that it features an Isaac Newton who wears a very fierce wig and bitchslaps Leibniz over the invention of calculus, and a character known only as "Newton's flatmate", who has a crushing inferiority complex and makes snarky comments about the amount of drugs that Newton must be on. He's so clearly Daniel Waterhouse! It's almost The Baroque Cycle fanfic, with my Newton/Waterhouse OTP - or at least as close as I'm ever likely to see, anyway.
