So, since lots of people have gone or are going to the Isle of Wight for the coming week, Napoleonic Nights will not happen as usual, in that I won't be hosting a viewing of a Napoleonic Wars era film starting from 6:30pm at the Ablethope-Wolfson Building. In the interests in not leaving those following the saga of Richard Sharpe too far behind, we'll forgo this week, and instead, I will be over at the Magdalen Bridge Boathouse, where I have a punt booked from 6:30-9:00pm. Anyone interested in coming along? I have spaces for four more people, with right of first refusal going to Napoleonic Nights attendees and supporters. (Basically, just ask yourself if you've ever watched any Hornblower, Sharpe, Master & Commander, or classic 1950's naval films with me or would enjoy doing so.) I'll probably bring some snacks and beverages, but anyone wishing to come along is encouraged to bring whatever you like best. *Please* be sure to call, e-mail or comment here if you're interested in coming, as there is a maximum number of people that can fit in the boat. Also, if you're unable or unwilling to punt, please say so when you respond, as I like to have a reasonable number of people who can punt, so that duties can be shared accordingly and no-one gets worn out.
