Another Exciting Life Update -
May. 15th, 2005 12:36 pmOr something like that, anyway. I realize I haven't really been recording my activities since my week in Falmouth back in February for my RYA Dayskipper Theory Certificate. In the meantime, I have also gotten my First Aid At Work Certification (as part of one of my jobs), and had visits from some wonderful people from out-of-town, which gave me a chance to show off the college, and in particular the painting of Lord Peter Wimsey in the Buttery.
Then, I had intended to go home to Hawaii for a week, but forces conspired to prevent this, and the whole mess caused some unnecessary tension with my parents. On the positive side, I had some free time in which to visit with people, and go down to Cornwall yet again for some impromptu sailing on the Eve of St. Mawes. We had some excellent weather and wind, and I even got some pilotage practice in! Returning for the start of term, I've been spending most of my time in Duke Humfrey's with early printed treatise books, but have been allowed a few diversions, to wit:
( HHGTG )
( Comics at Streatheam Library )
( KOH )
( ComicExpo )
Finally let me note that as mentioned earlier, it's summer and I have punt-booking privileges for the next few weeks, so if you're a friend of mine, live in or near Oxford, and fancy an afternoon on the river, let me know.
