Sayers Sundays (or somesuch)
Jan. 22nd, 2006 11:03 amChange of plan once again. (Will we never settle into a proper routine?) But, due to the fact that I'll need to be dashing off to rehearse and perform at the Oxford University Middle Eastern Dance Society Hafla - 8:00pm, Jericho Tavern, no admission or cover charge, all welcome - we're going to flip back to an earlier time this week, and because our next Lord Peter Wimsey was to be the four part Have His Carcase, we're going for light comedy instead of murder, although still in a related vein...
Date: Sunday, 15 January, 2006
Time: Starting from around 3:30pm, ending by 6:00 pm at the latest.
Location: Normally Rhodes Wolfson Common Room, Ablethhorpe Complex - but because of a lack of Region One capability at Ablethorpe, moved to
nickeyb's until further notice.
Film: Stiff Upper Lips
Tagline: The time has come for a Merchant Ivory Parody, and this is it! A Naked Gun-style parody of Edwardian-era English dramas.
Port and cake will be provided. Please e-mail or call me if you'd like to come along, so I can get an idea of numbers. Lord Peter will return next week, when we'll also be back to our normal time, 7:00pm.
