Only, seeing as it's a new year, our theme is changing - something to do with detectives, adventures, and late 19th-early 20th century England would be the best way of putting it, I think. Sayers Sundays, Sherlock Holmes Sundays, and G&T with J&W? Anyway, for the coming months, I am hoping to continue to host some semi-regular gatherings on Sunday evening at the Rhodes Wolfson Graduate Common Room downstairs. My plan is to reserve the room and go and watch whatever given film, whether or not anyone else shows up, but I'll have coffee, tea, snacks of some kind, and perhaps alcohol on offer, should others arrive.

However, since the product on offer for the next few sessions is the BBC production of the later Dorothy L. Sayers: Lord Peter Wimsey mysteries (Strong Poison, Have His Carcase, and Gaudy Night), we will have to move venue, as my DVDs are Region One and won't play in the common room machine. [profile] nickeyb has kindly offered her living room, but please contact me via this journal, e-mail or phone if you're interested in coming, so I can keep track ot who will be there, as well as provide directions and cake.

Date: Sunday, 15 January, 2006
Time: Starting from around 7:00pm, ending by 11:00pm at the latest.
Location: Rhodes-Wolfson Common Room, Ablethorpe Complex
Film: Lord Peter Wimsey: Strong Poison
Tagline: Amateur sleuth Lord Peter Wimsey falls in love with Harriet Vane as she stands in the dock of the Old Bailey on trail for the murder of her lover. Not only does he believe in her innocence and intend to save her from the gallows, he is determined to marry her as well. Can he manage to do both?
