Something For The Weekend
Aug. 11th, 2006 12:35 pmOkay, so not going to Berlin is disappointing, but I have no desire to attempt air travel again this week - cancellations and delays are apparently still in effect, along with restrictions, and there are knock on delays - getting back from Heathrow yesterday was a three hour (!) trip, not to mention a wate of the coach ticket. (Let's just hope everything has cleared up somewhat in time for the Trip'O'Doom.) However, I've managed to devise a clever solution to the problem of what to do for an unexpected free weekend. The RSC are offering free tickets for Under 30's to their productions of Henry VI Parts I, II, and III. I have now secured a ticket to each, showing Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday evening respectively. Anyone interested in coming along? Train tickets from Oxford to Stratford Upon Avon run at around £12. I'm planning to stay at an inexpensive B&B, but one could easily go back and forth each day.
Anyone eligible should definitely check out the free tickets, though, as they're being offered for shows through August, and are bookable on the website.
