It's All About The 18th Century
Jul. 20th, 2004 12:17 amI fear this will become nothing more than the usual random life update, so please feel free to disregard if it's not your thing.
( Brussels, Bruges and Waterloo )
( Comics in the City )
( Yay for the Library )
One last bit of (mostly good) news. I had been shortlisted but ultimately not selected for one of the deanship positions I'd applied for - while I was in Belgium, I received word that they've since had an opening. It was offered to me, and I have accepted. Assuming all goes well, this is wonderful news for next year, but it now gives me something to lose if I fail to meet my offer terms. Ah well, in the meantime I've torn through another two O'Brian novels (Huzzah for the Navy!) and have yet more fine Sherlock Holmes episodes to view. Life is sweet, at least for this moment's welcome respite.
